Our Story
Frank and Adam both grew up in rural parts of the country—Frank in Missouri and Adam in Tennessee. From a young age, they were heavily involved in showing livestock and equine, a passion that has carried into their adult lives and their love for dogs.
Frank’s journey with animals began in a small town where he got his first horse, Habibi, a retired show Arabian, at the age of 5. Encouraged by his mom and her best friend Jenny, Frank’s interest in animals flourished. His mom, who raised exotic birds and Dobermans before his birth in the late '80s, was a constant source of support and advice. Frank attended numerous animal shows and started showing Jersey cattle at the age of 8. Dogs have always been a significant part of his life, with his first litter of Weimaraner’s whelped at the age of 6, with his mom’s help. Frank’s love for Boxers began with Hazel, a gift from Jenny, who produced beautiful puppies whelped in Frank’s bedroom. Fascinated by Giant Schnauzers, Frank bought his first one in 2013 and has since become a renowned breeder.
Adam’s love for animals was evident from his childhood in Tennessee. He was highly successful in showing heavy shod Spotted Saddle horses and later shifted his focus to registered Boer goats and Southdown sheep, competing professionally and producing top contenders. At 17, Adam became certified in Bovine and Caprine reproduction, sparking his intense interest in genetics and producing healthy animals. After relocating to Arkansas and selling his livestock, Adam returned to dogs, inspired by his mother’s work with Border Collies and Great Pyrenees. Extensive research led him to the Giant Schnauzer, and he imported his first Giants from Russia, establishing a successful breeding program.
Frank and Adam met through a mutual dog friend in 2021, and their friendship quickly grew. They produced their first litter together in early 2022, and every breeding decision since has been a collaborative effort. In 2024, they combined their kennels, with Adam moving to Missouri. The kennel name “Down Low” humorously reflects their last names. Together, they continue their passion for breeding and showing Giant Schnauzers. Their combined knowledge of genetics, health, and animal husbandry strengthens their bond and commitment to excellence.
